Reva & Alex: Succop Nature Park Wedding Photos

Reva and Alex’s wedding day took place at Succop Nature Park, one of my favorite outdoor venues north of Pittsburgh! They came all the way from Philadelphia to celebrate this new chapter of their lives with their friends and family!

Everyone was watching the forecast the day of Reva and Alex’s wedding. With almost everything planned to take place outside (aside from the reception under a pavillion!), Reva, her four sisters, and her soon to be sister-in-law paced around the bridal suite, watching the forecast, hoping things would change so Reva and Alex could have their dream outdoor ceremony.

After seeing a break in the rain coming 45 minutes after the ceremony was set to begin, Reva and Alex’s incredible planner from Your Big Day made the call to wait it out to see if there would be a break in the weather. And low and behold - there was!!! And we ended up having just enough time for an outdoor ceremony and for some photos before the rain began again. (Side note: this is why wedding planners are worth every penny!!!)

But the rain? It didn’t put a damper on the wedding day, and it surely didn’t put a damper on Reva and Alex’s excitement! The newly married couple radiated joy, even through the rain. Congratulations on your wedding day, Reva and Alex! 🎉

Eric G: Hartwood Acres Senior Photos

Eric is an Eden Christian Academy senior, graduating in 2020. He plays basketball and runs cross country (and comes from a big family of runners!). I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Eric’s family for quite a few years, and even photographed his sister Lauren for her senior photos almost four years ago! It’s hard to believe that it’s been so long!

I also had the pleasure of photographing Eric with his entire family at the very beginning of our time together! Senior photos are the perfect time to update your family portrait - if you're interested in adding a family "mini" session to an already booked senior session, just let me know!

Aiden C: Cranberry Township Senior Photos

I had the immense honor of taking photos of Aidan just a few short weeks ago beginning at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex, and ending in his family’s backyard! Aidan is a Seneca Valley senior who plans on playing hockey professionally. With numerous accolades and many big opportunities, it's easy to see that this guy is going places!

Luke H: Succop Nature Park Senior Photos

Luke is going to be a senior at Mars High School this upcoming fall! He loves Moe's, Stranger Things, and has played soccer since he was three years old! We had so much fun hanging out with him at Succop Nature Park and taking some photos to commemorate this last year of high school. Congratulations, Luke!!! 🎉

Alyssa & Billy: Bella Sera Wedding Photos

Alyssa and Billy met on the University of Pittburgh’s campus in January of 2014, and during a trip to Vegas in November of 2017, Billy asked Alyssa to spend the rest of her life with him - and in June of 2019, they finally said “I do” on one of the most beautiful Pittsburgh days!

From the very first phone call I had with Alyssa, I knew these two were an incredible pair. Both Alyssa and Billy are the type of people who you immediately feel comfortable with - you know, the ones that are so kind and who go out of their way to make sure everyone around them feels like an old friend! So, as you can imagine, their wedding day was a dream! Their friends and family made us feel like a part of the family, and we had the pleasure of working with an incredible vendor team that kept the whole day running ahead of schedule (which is no easy feat on a wedding day!).

Alyssa and Billy, it was such an honor to be a part of your wedding day. Wishing you two all of the very best as you start your married lives together! 💛

Summer Moraine State Park Family Photos

This incredibly sweet family will soon become a family of FIVE with a little girl due quite soon! It was such an honor to document this sweet season of anticipation before such a big change - and we had the most beautiful day at Moraine State Park for their session! Julie & John: Succop Nature Park Engagement Photos

Julie and John are an incredibly sweet couple who are SO easy to be around! Their session took place on a sunny Pittsburgh day at Succop Nature Park in Butler, PA. The day of their session ended up being one of the only days for the entire WEEK that it didn’t rain (hallelujah!!), and we spent much of our time chatting about our favorite restaurants, including a favorite across the board of Burghers in Zelienople, PA - right down the street from my house!

Julie and John’s first date took place on Cinco de Mayo 2016 at Saga, and in March of 2019, John popped the question right before Julie left for a trip to Florida. He surprised her by saying that he had “bought her something new” to wear while she was on her trip, and, to her surprise, that thing was an engagement ring!

These two are something special, and I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of their wedding day next year! Congratulations on your engagement, Julie and John! 💛

Valerie & Matt: NOAH's Event Venue Cranberry Township Wedding

When two graphic designers decide to get married, you better believe it’s going to be one absolutely gorgeous celebration - and Val and Matt’s wedding did not disappoint (hence the detail overload that you’ll see below!! 🙈) Val and Matt’s day featured shades of emerald, hunter green, champagne, merlot, and touches of brighter pink with lots of florals alongside varied metals and industrial elements (including cement blocks and hand-poured cement hearts, made by the bride!). Their entire day took place at NOAH’S Event Venue in Cranberry Township, PA, which served as a lovely backdrop for their soft/romantic meets industrial vision.

Of course, being graphic designers, Val and Matt designed their invitations together, which was one of my favorite details of their day! Another favorite detail was their ceremony, which included a unique element that I hadn’t seen at a wedding ceremony before. Val and Matt had an “Oathing Stone Ceremony,” where they each held a stone in their hand while saying their vows. Originally practiced in Scotland, the Scottish believed that a vow given near a stone or water was more binding. Over the years, this ceremony has evolved from seeking out a stone or water to the wedding couple physically holding a stone in their hand while saying their vows. Some think this is where the saying “set in stone” originated from.

Val and Matt, thank you for the incredible honor of being a part of your wedding day. It’s so easy to see how much you two love each other, and how loved you are by your friends and family! Congratulations on a beautiful wedding day and on your marriage! 💛

McConnell's Mill Family Photos

It was an honor to take these photos for this beautiful family! They braved the heat, humidity, and threat of rain looming on the horizon for these photos together, and it only started raining just as we finished up and started packing up our cars - which I am so thankful for! It was especially an honor to take photos for this family because Andrew & Mackenzie are also photographers in the Pittsburgh area - what an honor it is when another photographer trusts me with their memories!

Cait & Brian: White Barn Wedding Photos

Cait and Brian met in high school and started dating in the summer of 2011, and this past June, they tied the knot at the White Barn in Prospect, PA - which will always hold a special place in my heart, since it’s where my husband and I got married in 2015! 💛

Cait and Brian’s wedding day featured lots of happy tears (as you’ll see in the photos below! 😭), and lots of sentimental details. For their overall theme, Cait and Brian decided on tropical decor, incorporating tropical leaves and greenery into the bouquets and centerpieces - and some of Brian’s Hawaiian relatives even brought them leis!

Their day was a total dream to be a part of! Cait and Brian, you are both so kind, so sweet, and we were so honored to capture the first day of the rest of your lives! Congratulations my friends!!!
