FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What type of gear do you use?

All of my gear is professional Canon equipment, and all of it is insured. For weddings, I bring backup gear (extra cameras, lenses, and lighting equipment), as well as lighting to light dark reception spaces.

Do you have insurance?

Yes! I have liability and equipment insurance. If your venue requires vendors to submit proof of insurance, just let me know and I can send over a copy!

How many hours of coverage should I book for my wedding day?

Most couples end up choosing between eight and ten hours of coverage for their wedding day! If you are not traveling between different locations on your wedding day (i.e., getting ready somewhere, then driving to the ceremony, then driving to the reception), eight hours should (usually) be enough to get you through (unless you want us to stay until the VERY end of the night for a special exit - you’ll most likely need more!). If you are traveling between locations on your wedding day, I would suggest at least nine or ten hours of coverage. Who is your second shooter?

I have a couple of amazing photographers who second shoot with me, all of whom are professional photographers as well! I’ll let you know who your second shooter will be a few weeks out from your wedding ☺️

How long will it take to get my full wedding gallery?

You will have your final gallery within eight weeks after your wedding date. But you will have a few “sneak peeks” within just a week or so!

Do you retouch my photos?

Yes! All of your photos will be individually edited (by me), as well as color corrected. In addition, small blemishes will be removed in portraits!

How many weddings do you photograph per year?

Because I am also a senior and family photographer, I only take between 10 weddings per year as of 2023, depending how they fall throughout the year. I like to limit the amount of weddings I take so I can give the very best quality possible, and get to know my couples!

Will you have any other events going on the day of my wedding?

Nope! Your event is the main event ☺️ I also try to only take one wedding per weekend to ensure optimal quality!

Will you visit my venue(s) beforehand?

Heck yes! I always visit any venues (and separate photo locations) I haven’t photographed weddings at before to get an idea of what I’ll be working with. I like to come into every single wedding with a solid game plan!

Will my photos be watermarked when I receive them?

Nope! All of the photos delivered in your final gallery will be unwatermarked.

Do I have to print my photos through you?

Absolutely not! When your finally gallery is delivered, you will also receive a digital PDF “print release,” which means you can print your photos wherever and whenever you would like! Some print labs will ask to see this print release when you order, so be sure to keep it somewhere safe!

You will, however, have the option to order professional print products straight from your online gallery.

Do you book engagement sessions on weekends?

The majority of my sessions are scheduled on weekdays in the evenings.

If you are looking for a weekend date, I have more weekend dates available January through March! And snow photos are some of the prettiest ever!

Do you travel for engagement sessions?

Wedding packages include an engagement session within a 20 mile radius of the 16063 zip code (but locations within the city of Pittsburgh are also included!). If you are interested in an engagement session outside of that radius, or outside of Pittsburgh, please let me know - and know that a travel fee will apply, depending on the location.

Do you have any suggestions for locations for my engagement session?

Below are a few of my favorite spots for engagement photos! If none of these fit the “look” you’re going for, feel free to reach out for additional recommendations. And don’t be afraid to get creative with your location choice!
