Christmas Mini Session in Historic Harmony

I first photographed this sweet couple back in 2017 when they eloped on a very cold day in downtown Pittsburgh (See it here!)

A few years later, I photographed them while they were pregnant with their (now) 3 year old (See it here!)

And just a few weeks ago I got to photograph them again as a family of three in the same place we took their maternity photos - Historic Harmony!

These are the sweet moments that make what I do so meaningful. I love that these photos will just get more and more precious with time!

Historic Harmony Family Mini Photo Session

This sweet family has been in front of my lens a few times over the years, starting all the way back in 2018 for their wedding day! It is a joy and a privilege to get to photograph families throughout the years

These photos were taken in Historic Harmony - one of my favorite local Christmas backdrops! Caroline was a little trooper and so much fun to photograph.

Grace & Garrett: McConnell's Mill Engagement Photos

This sweet pair had one of the prettiest November days for their engagement session The light was just unreal!

Grace & Garrett met at a concert over a year ago, and got engaged on the one year anniversary of the day they met

I actually photographed Garrett's senior photos back in 2021... (plus his brother's & sister's senior photos more recently!). I am always so honored when seniors let me be a part of the next chapter of their lives! You can feel the love & joy these two have just being with them.

Pittsburgh at Home Family Photos

Meet this beautiful family of 8!

You may remember this family from their photo session last year... and what is so remarkable to me is that this family has been getting yearly family photos taken for 14 years now! Mom says it's her favorite day of the year, and I would think it just keeps getting more meaningful as her kids keep growing older.

I am truly amazed at the determination of mom (Elizabeth) - this was my first year getting my own family photos scheduled, outfits coordinated, making sure we were on time, etc. - and just with three people it was tough enough! Our own family photo experience has given me a whole new respect for families who set aside the time yearly (or bi-yearly, or really, EVER!) for family photos.

A big thanks to this family for inviting me to their home again for mom's favorite day of the year!

PS - if you aren't sure where to have your photos taken, your home/property is always a great choice! It's meaningful - and it's easier than packing everyone up in the car to drive to a separate location!

Delanie N: North Catholic High School Senior Photos

Meet Delanie!

Delanie is a North Catholic senior who wants to study neuroscience post high school! She loves science and math and had the BEST November day ever for her senior photos!

It's true, November can be a toss up for photos here in Pittsburgh... but when it's slightly warm and the sun is shining, the conditions are some of my favorite for photos. The light is just so beautiful... and we were even able to catch the tail end of some fall color for these portraits!

Ashley & Nick: Robin Hill Park Wedding Photos

This was a wedding many years in the making! Ashley & Nick met through their mutual friend Matt (who was also their officiant on their wedding day).

Here's the short story: Nick was a childhood friend of Matt's, and Matt had just met Ashley at Robert Morris. He thought they would be a good match (Matt-ch? ) and introduced them... and the rest is history!

Ashley and I met at Robert Morris University - she was in the photography program (and is an incredible photographer!) and I was trying to sneak a photography minor into my schedule, so we had some overlapping classes together! I was so honored when she asked me to photograph her wedding day!

Their wedding day was probably the most perfect fall day you could imagine. The weather was just right, the sun was shining... and the venue was gorgeous! Robin Hill Park is such a beautiful gem. I can't believe I hadn't been there before!

Hartwood Acres Mansion Extended Family Photos

We adore this family! You may recognize a few faces from this blog post… this time, the whole extended family was in town and we had a quick mini session to document the occasion!

Hartwood Acres had some lovely fall foliage, as well as the beautiful mansion itself.

Bennett P: Downtown Pittsburgh Senior Photos

Bennett is a senior at North Allegheny! He wanted city views with his car… so that's what we did!

We started off Bennett's session on the North Shore of Pittsburgh amidst lots of tailgating and pedestrians waiting for the Steelers game! Thankfully, we found a few quiet spots that we were able to use for photos, and then headed over to the Strip District for some views of Bennett and his car with the skyline in the background. It was such a great evening with great light!

Haley & Jared: McConnell's Mill Engagement Photos

It was such a treat to get to photograph Haley & Jared at McConnell's Mill during such a beautiful fall season! Haley & Jared are getting married next year at Shady Elms Farm.

They met while at Robert Morris University and had a few classes that overlapped while they studied their respective majors there. It was so easy to see the love these two have for each other... and it made my job so easy!

Damien W: Sunrise Moraine State Park Senior Photos

Meet Damien!

Damien is a senior at Seneca Valley high school who plans to study hospitality and business post high school, with the ultimate dream to open a restaurant someday!

Damien also loves to kayak and fish, and does so often at Moraine.. making the park as a whole, and the kayak rack, a perfect spot for photos!
