Shawn is a class of 2021 senior who just so happens to be into one of my most obvious favorite things: photography! He even brought his camera gear + bag (which was much cooler than mine) with him for a couple of shots. We had a great time photographing this guy around Historic Harmony on a beautiful fall day! Congratulations on your senior year, Shawn!!!
All I can say is WOW! These two - they are incredible!! Not only are they incredible people who are going to be incredible parents - they are also incredible wedding photographers! So of course, when they emailed me asking for information about a maternity session… I was so, so honored!
They decided on Hartwood Acres for their session, and while we did use some of the mansion area, we used lots of the nature filled spots surrounding the mansion! The woods light up with the most magical, glowy light on a sunny day, so when I saw the sun peek out from behind the clouds as our session was about to begin, I was thrilled!
Congratulations on your growing family, Marie & Stanley! You are going to be incredible parents!!!

Sean is a Pine Richland senior who plays baseball! I had the honor of taking his senior photos on one of the early fall evenings of September, and we had a great time exploring all of the different backdrops that Harmony has to offer! Congratulations on your senior year, Sean!

One essential thing you need to know before looking at these photos and seeing Lauren’s perfect hair - she told me that she curled it THAT MORNING and that it stayed that well throughout the ENTIRE school day. Our shoot didn’t start until 6PM. Ladies… need I say more?! What kind of miracle is this!
Besides being beautiful, Lauren is incredibly smart and is a natural born leader! She attends Portersville Christian School, loves participating in musicals, and is student body president. She was an absolute pleasure to photograph! Congratulations on your senior year, Lauren!!! 🎉

We had a beautiful later summer evening for Payton’s senior photos at Hartwood Acres Mansion! Payton is so joyful, and was so much fun to photograph. She attends Butler High School, is a life long dancer, and hopes to find a career in math or engineering post high school. She is wicked smart, talented, and beautiful! Congratulations on your senior year, Payton. You are going to do great things!!

The moment I met these two, I knew we were in for a great night! Kind, intelligent, and so good at asking questions - Anisha & Peter have it all!
I had the privilege of spending a late summer evening with them exploring the Mexican War Streets, Allegheny Commons Park, and the North Shore. It may have been 90 degrees… but these two are no strangers to hot weather! With family in Texas, that’s where their big day is taking place this winter!
Congratulations on your engagement Anisha & Peter - and thank you so much for the honor of taking these photos for you! ❤️

I always feel grateful for the weddings I get to photograph - but this year, more than ever, I feel grateful to still have weddings to photograph, despite everything going on in the world right now!
Rebecca & Anthony downsized their wedding from their original plans, but much of the format remained the same: they were still able to say their vows in the church they had planned and have photos with the Pittsburgh skyline in the background, followed by a small reception for their family & bridal party at the Embassy Suites Downtown Pittsburgh! It was sweet, intimate, and full of lots of joy and laughter.
Rebecca & Anthony, thank you a million times for having me document your wedding day! It was an honor to witness the beginning of your marriage!

Oh what a beautiful evening we had for Meg’s senior photos! Meg is a sci-fi-80’s-lover who loves wearing black clothing! (Same! 🙌). She’s an ex-cheerleader who loves musical theatre, and is truly one of a kind, and beautiful inside & out!
Meg opted for two great locations for her senior photos - Mellon Park, and the North Shore bridges! Side note: did you know that you can add additional coverage onto any session booked with JHP by half hour increments? If you’re interested in using two locations that are too far to cover in the typical 90 minute time frame, this is a great option! And this is exactly what we did for Meg’s photos. Which I am SO glad we did - we were really able to get the best of both worlds with some nature/historic architectural focused scenery, then with the classic downtown Pittsburgh scenery!
Congratulations on your senior year, Meg! You are going to do great things!

Where to begin with this one?! I love so many things about this session! I wouldn’t have even shot it if it wasn’t thanks to Lilli’s older sister, Megan, who just so happens to be a wedding coordinator for The Atrium and Pinehall at Eisler Farms! We connected over our mutual love of Disney (duh!) during a wedding earlier this year, and she recommended me to her mom to take her sister’s senior photos! I was SO honored!
Because Megan is a coordinator at Pinehall, we were able to use the venue for Lilli’s senior photos! And it ended up being SUCH an amazing & unique spot, with so many great little locations! We had a little entourage with us of Lilli’s sister, mom, and my assistant (my husband, Nick!), and laughed and laughed together throughout the entire session!
Lilli, you are a gem - congratulations on your senior year!!! ❤️ And thank you SO much for the honor of taking these photos for you!

I had to include so many photos in Olivia’s blog post, because she just rocked her session that much! Olivia is a gymnast who plans on continuing her gymnastics career at Penn State next year!
I was so very thankful for a sunny evening for Olivia’s session. She had requested less photos with the Hartwood Acres Mansion, and more with the natural scenery (woods & garden) surrounding the mansion. Hartwood Acres is still a great spot, even if you’re looking for more natural scenery! There’s a beautiful little wooded area that gets the prettiest light on a sunny evening, and we were able to take full advantage of it, along with some garden shots, and a few shots with the mansion as the background!
I could’ve photographed this lovely lady alllll day long! Congratulations on your senior year, Olivia!
