A few frames from a recent vacation to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with my sister, who just so happened to bring the perfect dress for a cloudy beach day shoot. As a side note, if you've never been to the beach in December - go! If you're not a huge beach person like me, it's the perfect time to enjoy the moderate weather and sparse crowds.
This family is just the sweetest! This was my second year photographing the Tsung family for their Chinese New Year card - and per usual, we had a blast! The Cranberry Township Park served as a lovely backdrop, even in the cold of winter.
Headshots at the Wunderbar Coffee Shop in Harmony - does it get any better?! I'm lucky to work with this talented lady at Sparq Designs, where she is our official #bosslady and Senior Project Manager. She also runs the highly successful Urban Cashmere Blog (ladies, check it out - you won't be disappointed). Naturally, I was honored when she asked me to take some updated headshots for her for a musical she's auditioning for (what can't she do?!). Check out a few of my favorites below!
You would never guess that this session took place at the beginning of February.
One of the best and worst things about Pittsburgh is the weather. Winters are long, but every once in a while, we get a gorgeous, sunny, warm day - one of these days just so happened to fall on the Murphy's family session day (I think it was meant to be)! The weather matched the personalities of this bubbly family as we walked and talked around the Cathedral of Learning. I have to admit, this weather made me oh so excited for spring!
Brianna & Corey's glamorous Scottish Rite Cathedral wedding in New Castle, PA was classic, timeless, and modern. Enjoy a few of my favorite shots from this cozy, intimate day!
If you're in need of a little winter pick-me-up, check out Brianna and Corey's summer time engagement session in downtown Pittsburgh here.
Even though I love weddings and engagements and family sessions - I have a special place in my heart for portraits. Capturing the essence of who someone is brings me so much joy.
Below are a few of my favorite portraits from 2015. Enjoy!
This family was so much fun to photograph! We had so much fun creating the images below for them. And who would've thought Cranberry Park could look so beautiful at the end of November!
Lauren + Aleks had one of the most beautiful weddings I've been privileged to photograph! If you've never been to the Hotel Monaco (A Kimpton Hotel) in Pittsburgh, you're in for a treat - it's one of the most stunning, modern wedding venues I've ever seen! In addition to a gorgeous venue, Lauren + Aleks' ceremony was held at the Holy Trinity Serbian Cathedral. After the ceremony, we headed to the North Shore for some quick Roberto Clemente Bridge shots, and finished the portrait session of the day back at the Hotel Monaco, where the unique decor made for some stunning shots!

During her session, Sarah confessed that she doesn't like having her photo taken. That's fair, a lot of people aren't used to being in front of the camera. But to be honest - Sarah was SUCH a natural in front of my lens! First, she's gorgeous, and second, she has the perfect "model face" down! This girl absolutely knows how to work the camera, and she made my job incredibly easy. Thanks for being awesome Sarah!
Hadley and her parents were naturals in front of the camera on the chilly November afternoon we took their portraits at North Park! We started off around the North Park Boathouse and gradually worked our way into the Over the Bar Bicycle Cafe, where we were able to get some photos of a cake smash for Hadley's first birthday! (Thanks to the wonderful staff at OTB Bicycle Cafe for letting us make a bit of a mess!) This family was a joy to photograph!
