Hartwood Acres Family Photographer

Fall family sessions are so much fun, especially with a family like this one (and with a location like Hartwood Acres Mansion, you can never go wrong!). During our session, I found out this lovely couple picked Hartwood Acres because it reminded them of their architecture found in England (where they lived for 8 years before moving back to the states). I love all of the little things I learn about people while taking their photo! Enjoy a few of my favorites from their family session below.

Chrissy + Chris: Riverview Park Engagement Photographer (Pittsburgh)

You know you're going to have an awesome session when your couple brings a sword. To a park. YES.

Chrissy + Chris were a blast to photograph in Riverview Park on a gorgeous Sunday in mid-October (sword and all!). Their natural chemistry and overflowing love for each other made their session incredibly easy-going and light-hearted. We can't wait to photograph these two tying the knot in just a couple of months! Thanks for a wonderful shoot you two!

Jenn + Larry: North Shore Engagement Photographer

Jenn and Larry had an absolutely gorgeous morning for their engagement session on the North Shore. This lovely couple did a fantastic job in front of the camera, and even brought along a couple of pumpkins as props for their "save the dates!" (Props to Larry for painting on the words/numbers!) We can't wait for your spring wedding, Jenn + Larry!

Kelly F: Phipp's Conservatory Senior Photographer

I meet a lot of good people in my line of work. Sweet people with sweet souls - and Kelly is one of those people! Her confidence and love for helping others makes her beautiful from the inside out. I'm so honored that we were able to take her senior photos! Especially since it was at one of my favorite spots: Phipp's Conservatory in Oakland!

Clay T: Moraine State Park Senior Photographer

It's always an honor when I get to photograph members of the same family - even when it's years apart from each other! I photographed Clay's brother, Alex, a couple of years ago when I was fairly new to the business. It's hard to believe his brother is not graduating! We loved hanging out with Clay at Moraine State Park (a great location for fall colors!) on a brisk, autumn afternoon. Thanks for a great shoot, Clay!

Chaueen P: Zelienople Senior Photographer (Cranberry Township Photographer)

Chaueen is a senior from South Korea studying at Eden Christian Academy. With a love for fashion, Chaueen wanted to incorporate her passion into her shoot. Her adorable outfits, fashion pin board, and old sewing machine brought her shoot to life in the little town of Zelienople! Also - I barely had to pose her! She is quite a natural in front of the camera. Thanks for a great shoot, Chaueen - and good luck on the rest of your senior year!

Andrea + Cameron: Succop Conservancy Wedding Photographer

Andrea and Cameron's perfect day at Succop Conservancy was full of beautiful light and close friends and family. This day was one of my favorites of the summer for a few reasons:I went to high school with Andrea and graduated with her sister (and Maid of Honor), and we had four people from JHP present for this wedding (2 for photo, 2 for video!). Don't miss Andrea + Cameron's wedding video teaser at the end of this post (shot by Nick and Alisha Sasala, edited by Nick)!

Congratulations to an awesome couple!

Joshua M: Oakland Senior Photography (Canon vs. Nikon)

One of the many things I love about photography is how it brings people together, and more personally, how it gives me the chance to reconnect with people I haven't seen in years! Believe it or not, I graduated with Joshua's brother from high school in 2011, just four short years ago. When their mom emailed me asking to schedule a session for Joshua, I was both excited and stunned that Joshua was a senior!

During his session, we visited the Mellon Institute and the Cathedral of Learning. An aspiring photographer himself, Joshua even brought his Nikon DSLR for a couple of shots! We had a great time taking your senior photos, Joshua! Best of luck to you as you finish up your last year at North Hills!
