I'm Jenna, a wedding, senior, and family photographer based in Zelienople, PA and serving the greater Pittsburgh area. Most days (aside from working), you'll find me snuggled up with my pup, Rhylan, drinking scalding hot coffee, listening to my current favorite movie soundtrack, or watching a Pixar movie with my husband (we love Ratatouille and Up!). I love llamas, put ketchup on way too many different types of foods, and get a high from finding the perfect gift for a friend, family member, or stranger!
I haven’t always been a wedding and senior photographer, and I didn't always seem myself becoming one. Actually, I didn’t even go to school for photography (any other graphic/web designers out there?!), so when I took the leap to full time photography in 2017, I found myself wondering – is this something I can actually do? Sure, I had been working on my business since my freshman year of college, but stepping from out the shadows and declaring "this is who I am!" was a little scary.
Well, the thing is, God was behind the whole thing, guiding and leading my steps the entire way, creating a beautiful story with heart. The first time I found a love for photography was whenever I was 16 – my now husband (who I was dating at the time – we’re high school sweethearts!) stole his dad’s camera and was starting to take photos. I thought it looked like fun, so I started stealing that same camera (but of course like the rule-follower I am, I asked for permission first ;) ) and from there, photography became a hobby, which quickly turned into a passion. After I finally bought a little digital camera, it went with me literally everywhere!
As much as I love photography and nailing a photo from a technical standpoint, to me, a camera is just a tool. It's my avenue to be able to love on and encourage people, and truly, my biggest goal for every single session is that whoever is in front of my camera will leave encouraged and reminded of how stinking awesome they are! "People may not remember exactly what you did, or what you said, but they will always remember how you made them feel." (Maya Angelou)
